Three pages, cr.8vo, bifolium, fold marks, small closed tear on fold, some staining, but text clear and complete. Text in William Boobyer's hand, by comparison with signatures. There are twelve numbered clauses in the Agreement. 1. That Adam Boobyer should conduct the business at 6 Seymour Row for them both. 2. All "monies" "be accounted for to Adam Boobyer". 3. William Boobyer shall receive 30s from the profits. 4. Independently of clause 3, William to receive a "fair share of the increase of profits" and "five percent upon all cash above eighty pounds per month which is taken". 5. Independently of clauses 3 & 4, William to get 7.5% of "all money which is taken by him." 6. Independently of clauses 3,4 & 5, William shall receive "all money which he may taken for No Ones[?]". 7. Adam to get "profit which remains [...] as a fair remuneration for the share which he claims in the business." 8. William is to have no claim to any profits arising from shop-sales of "a Library or any Stationery & Small Goods or Fancy Articles which may be sold in the shop [at Seymour Row]". 9. William is to get sghare of profit on bindings sold at Seymour Row. 10. William is free to open a shop as a bookseller or anything else, on which Adam has no claim. 11. Adam is to get share of profits on "all No's [?] or Bundings taken at any shop which William Boobyer may open." 12. Agreement is to be binding for 12 months. Signed: Adam Boobyer | William Boobyer.
