3pp., 12mo. Bifolium. Aged and worn. Medd's son Walter Hall Medd was later a Royal Navy Paymaster-Commander, and the present letter was evidently written concerning a period of his shore leave. The letter begins: 'My dear Medd | Your boy was not able to get out here (51. miles) in the short time the fleet remained but I made it pleasant for him in Kingston. The Harbour Master Charlton Thompson who is (or was rather) a naval man, looked after him and from the boys own account to me (I enclose Charlton Thompson letter re Walter) he seemed to have made the most of his time ashore.' He ends with kindly solicitations and best wishes to Medd's wife.
