'Elizabeth Parkina' studied under Mathilde Marchesi in Paris and made her debut in 1902 at the Opéra-Comique of Paris in ‘Lakmé’. At Covent Garden between 1904 and 1907, she appeared as Musetta in ‘La Bohème’ and Siebel in ‘Faust’, and stood in for prima donna Nellie Melba as Marguerite in ‘Faust’. She toured Australia in 1905 and retired from the stage around 1907. She died after long illness. ONE: Villa St Etienne, Allée Hennon, Arcachon. 2pp., 12mo. In fair condition, lightly aged, with blue pencil line by Forsyth across first page.
