Four pages, 12mo, good condition. He is pleased that Godman has 'found something new in your Agnean things', among which '[t]he red legged partridge if now will indeed be a treasure'. He also discusses the bullfinch, starling and wren, before moving on to shells and 'Guatamala eggs'. He is 'beginning to arrange my Cabinet for the long evenings employment. I shd. be glad to get together what I can.' The letter concludes: 'My Smithsonians are (the rare ones only) disgracefully broken & must have been packed after they were broken.'
