2pp, 12mo. Bifolium. In good condition, lightly aged. She thanks her for her 'kind invitation to dinner on the 4th', but regrets that she will 'not be in Town till long after that date, being here to get landscape studies for my new picture for a month.' She is pleased that her correspondent is 'well again', and sends her compliments to her husband. The letter does not give a year, but comes from a batch of correspondence relating to a charitable dinner organised by J. C. Horsley in 1882 for 'the Hospital Committee'. It is not clear which of her pictures Lady Butler is referring to.
