Both letters are bifoliums of 3pp., 12mo, with mourning borders. Both in good condition, lightly aged and worn. The two enclosed in an envelope addressed 'To | Honble. Lady Harington | 7 Middleton Street'. Sir Richard Harington (1861-1931) of Ridlington, 12th Baronet, was appointed a Puisne Judge in the High Court of Justice at Fort William in Bengal in 1899, and served in that capacity until returning to England in 1913. The two letters are written to Lady Harington shortly before her final return to England.
