Three pages, 12mo, grubby, one or two letters obscured by marking, essentially readable as follows: He thanks him for "kind attention" and is ory "that you have had the trouble of sending a second time. I sent the MS. with a view of sparing you a second message by the hands of Mr. Bradley Sent. who was passing your House this afternoon. The Archery business shall be attended to when I return from my short excursion. I do not know the Book you mention but the 'Boweman's Glory' published by Waring of the Archery Warehouse near Bedford Square is an excellent compilation. I know he has some copies on hand - [...]" He asks Nichols if he intends to put up a Target in his father's fields at Hammersmith and asks for his name to be put down for the "Corps". He continues, "The Toxophilus of Ascham by the bye should be used by every antiquary at least once in his life - | Independent of Archery it is an excellent Book - he is the Walton of his favourite sport [signature folllowed by Postscript] Your proof will find me at [address of a John Robinson in Milton near Gravesend given, and he concludes], "I recd Southey's book of the Church [...]. I will send the No 12 of the Monumental Effigies by Davis for your [?] on Monday."
