Elegantly printed in black and grey-blue. [28] + [1]pp., 4to. On loose leaves, on eight bifoliums, arranged in four pairs. In very good condition, lightly aged, wrapped in brown paper. Colophon reads, with limitation numbering in manuscript: 'This fragment of FINNEGANS WAKE was commissioned by Fellows of Designer Binders to mark the centenary of the birth of James Joyce | The book was designed by Michael Hutchins and printed by him on an Albion handpress being completed on 2 February 1982 | The typeface throughout is Perpetua, designed by Eric Gill, the centenary of whose birth is also commemorated in 1982 | The paper is Vélin Arches, which was printed damp | The edition comprises thirty copies, ten of which have been reserved for subscribers to the Chimæra Press | This copy is number [12.]' COPAC lists six titles printed by this press between 1979 and 1988.
