Benson suggested I should write to say when I expected to have the book ready which you have so kindly consented to read. / At present I can only give the ends of the week to revision, but I hope to have it ready for you by March 10 at latest. Thanking you for your interest, . . .[postscript] If you cared to see the first half you could have that almost at once, but I expect you want it all." Marrot was in partnership in the firm of Elkin Mathews for a time but I have found no book of Brown's published by them.
