English actress (1779-1850). Fragment of letter, 1 page, 8vo, signed "Julia Glover" and docketted "Mrs Glover of Drury Lane Theatre". Stuck to a torn piece of paper carrying the following biographical sketch: "Mrs Glover. Born in 1779 - and made her first appearance as Elvina in good Hannah More's dull Tragedy at Covent Garden in 1797 - In 1850 Mrs Glover took her farewell benefit at Drury Lane Farren and Madame Vestris taking parts in the performance - Mrs Glover playing Mrs Malaprop - Beautiful in youth Mrs Glover had gracefully passed from sighing Juliets and maundering Elvinas into Mrs Heidelbergs, Mrs Candours and the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet -". The reverse of the mount carries a fragment of a biographical sketch of Madame Vestris.
