"I return the papers you were so kind to lend me and let me keep to show to my travellrs. | I have been looking over a little collection of notes my father received and some my husband and I kept as autographs to see if we had any duplicates you might like - I have found four which I shall be gald to have you keep if they interest you, but I think it very likely you may have no association with these writers - they are a note to my father from Richard Monckton Milnes, the poet [...] Arthur Helps who wrote Friends in Council - he was much liked as an essayits in my youth - William Allingham the Irish Poet whoi wrote The Touchstone - and that little ballad for children | 'Up the airy Mountain' | and many other good things [...]. He was a devoted friend to Mr Carlyle - and the fourth is a pass Mr Tyndall wrote for me - [...]".
