She begins by stating that the 'charmant ouvrage' that she sent has given her real pleasure: 'il orne ma demeure champêtre'. She continues regarding some gifts: 'Comptant sur Vos sentimens pour nous qui ne Vous laissent pas étrangère - à ce qui nous conçerne, et jusqu'au moment qui n'est peut-etre pas éloigné de Votre retour en Allemagne, j'ai pris la liberté de Vous destiner quelques objets qui ont été confectionnés dans l'une des fondations pieuses qui ont pris naissances depuis que Vous nous avez quittés […] je les offre a une personne qui peut apprécier de tels travaux'.
