"If you have the least regard for me pray send the paper containing Acc of the Wrecks [underlining from "pray"] for how I shall face J. Timbs Esq on Thursday (if he has not previously received it) I do not know. Trusting to your knowledge of the impetuosity of the individual just named for excuse for thus troubling you I am yours S." Postscript: "If you have not yet sent it please direct it to Timbs at once as time will then be saved." Birket Foster were old friends but their only association with Timbs might have been a "Year Book of Facts in Science and Art".
