She is delighted to get a letter from her, hearing of her enjoyment during a visit to Paris, and that she feels so much better & stronger. She continues, I have not got well - I have been rather better the last fortnight but these last two days I have been infected by country & other friends coming in for long chats & I find that I am only fit to rest on the sofa after utterly spent & begin the next day with severe head-ache [...] I cannot shake off the remains of influenza & so we are going away as soon as we can - I hope to Switzerland. [...] I should much like to see you but as I cannot regain my power of working - I am anxious to get away - for I have so much work waiting to be done [...] Her husband has had a good deal of rheaumatism. In a postscript she say she wants to get away but has to finish something first.
