Text: I have the honour to transmit to your Lordship the Copy of a Petition which the Magistrates & Council of this Burgh beg your Lordship will have the goodness to present tothe House of Lords, Praying to be admitted to a participation of the East India trade, and that whatever part thereof is granted, may not be confined to the Port of London alone; but also to the other Sea Port Towns of the Kingdom.
