Actor. The first, 14 December 1924, Chicago, 2 pp, 8vo. He was delighted to receive her letter, and returns its Christmas greetings. "I know you will be having a splendid and happy time, with all your charming Kids around you, and dear old Jack playing Santa Claus. I have been out here for the last four weeks - the finish of our tour in "The Outsider" - for we return to New York next Sunday and disband. I shall always retain the most pleasant memory of my visit to Kenley Court, and was sorry it had to be so short." The second letter, 4 February 1929, "Permanent address The Players New York", on letterhead of Congress Hotel & Annex Chicago, 2 pp, 8vo. He extends his sympathy on Jack's passing, and hopes she will bear up with courage. "If nothing interferes I shall probably be over some time next Summer. I have had a long season but our tour will probably end about the end of May, and I am looking forward to seeing you all again. Alas, I shall miss my old friend more than I can say." Two items,
