Infected Books | A few days ago one of your Clerks saw me in reference to the above, and said that it was Miss Strong's intention not to replace the books as they and numerous dresses were taken away by Sanitary Authorities. Would you kindly give me a letter to that effect so that I can place it before Committee at their meeting this afternoon?"; [11 June] "Your letter was duly laid before the Subscription Library Committee at their meeting yesterday, and in reply I am directed to ask you to be good enough to make application to the Clerk to the Rural District Council for the replacement of the infected books."
