1p., small 4to. On leaf removed from autograph album. In very good condition, on lightly-aged paper. Written diagonally across the page in an assured hand. Reads: 'To Ann - with very best wishes, & good luck for "Mr Prohack"! | Dirk Bogarde.' Dated by the recipient in a small hand in bottom right-hand corner: '8th December, 1948.' The adaptation, by Wessex Film Productions, of Arnold Bennett's novel 'Mr. Prohack' was released in 1949. 'Ann' was the daughter of one of the technicians at Twickenham Film Studios.
