[ Honolulu imprint; pamphlet ] A Memorandum. "For Private Circulation and Not for Publication".
Pamphlet, [12]pp., inclusive of printed beige (unless aged white) wraps, poor condition, frayed crumbling edges, closed tears, but text complete. I.e. requires binding. Manuscript note on title, "The truth about the Massie Fortesque Case" with illegible initials. With: typed biography of the author, Walter Francis Dillingham, Hawaiian entrepreneur and statesman, known by some as "Mr Hawaii". Scarce; copies held only by Oregon and Honolulu libraries (WorldCat). Note: "Dillingham is also seen as controversial for comments which by today's standards would be considered racist after the Massie Trial of 1933, which resulted in the killing of a native Hawaiian and the beating of a Japanese Hawaiian by a mob of angry (and never-prosecuted) whites"
