"It has for a long time been our wish to give more interesting information about the important Autograph Letters and Documents in our Collection, and consequently we propose to issue from time to time a publication entitled NOTES ON AUTOGRAPHS, of which this is the first Number." It is distinguished by lengthier descriptions than normal but, with a price list masquerading as an index, is in reality an upmarket trade catalogue. Highlights include an important warrant signed by Edward VI and others, and Byron "on the Plans for the Liberation of Greece."
