Four pages, folio, bifolium, leaves partly separated, sl. grubby, text clear and complete. Rainier states that he has been informed by letter by Captrain Charles Adam of "La Sybille" that "a quantity of sails and other boatswains stores [...] which are worn out, rotten, decayed and totally unfit for their proper use". He is ordering a survey by The Masters of the ships named above, whoi are to report "particularly to which uses they [the stores] may be converted [...] under oath [...]" The third page contains a lengthy list of items in the "boatswain's stores" of "La Sybille" (38 items from Hammocks to Lanthorns to Red Ensign) with added comment on condition (from "Broke, worn out & totally unfit" to "Only fit for junk").
