Four pages, 4to, fold marks, closed tears on folds discreetly repaired, some marking, fair condition. Information about (headings) the climate, health, water, soil, fruit trees, cost of land, fruit, grain and fodder, vegetables flowers, sea water, fish, game, snakes, insects, animals, laboor, steamers. freight, cost of boats, cable, roads, inhabitants (mostly black, main occupation sponging, some petty theft, indolent, etc,) houses. schools. taxation, government, Wood Cay. These are followed by "Plan of Colony" (cooperative, etc), Objects ("same as in Florida" - one brand, control transportation, commission, low prices, control of vessels etc.). Frith concludes with the text of a letter from the Surveyor General's Office, Nassau, 16 July 1895, promising consideration for a definite proposal. Handwritten note on fourth page, some over printed text, "Description of the Island of 'New Providence' and of Nassau its principle town. (My birthplace)".
