Incomplete (probably missing initial bifolium of four pages!), Two Pages, 4to, bifolium, damage around removed seal area, fold marks aged, small closed tears, but clear text as follows: to make any complaints. Mrs H and myfour children (two boys and two girls) are also upon the whole in good health; as with due care, I also am myself. The ordinary practise of the Bar I have for some years a good deal sacrificed to another Line less laborious, and which tho' it does not make me healthy, gives me a creditable situation, and does not put me out of the way of preferment, when the due season shall come. | I have only to add that I am far from insensible to the regard and kindness you express for me, and that I received your Letter, however late, with satisfaction. Yet I shouyld be a hypocrite (and you would not believe me, knowing as you do my invariable sentiments on those subjects) were I not to add, that it would have given me still more full and sincere pleasure, could I have discovered in the expressions of [?], any Marks of your having much that Improvement of the dreadful Lesson, which has been taught, of the rashness and vanity, of loosening the Bonds of discipline and established opinions. Excuse this; for it is a subject on which never can be but serious: I shall say no more about it - [...].
