Three pages, 12mo, bifolium, black-borderd, closed tear on fold, residue of glue final blank page. He has enclosed "two ladies tickets for the balcony" and advises getting there early because of the "great crowd". "All will be over by three as the Duke of Newcastle - Gladstone & others will have to attend a Council." He passes on Mrs Kean's good wishes. In a Posrscript he suggests that a good time to visit Drury Lane would be "Thursday week 13t" [underlined] as it will be my first appearance in Othello for many years & is also mine & Mrs Keans' Benefit night- To me it will be an evening of great excitement & of vast importsance-"
