The collection of sixteen items is in good overall condition, on aged and worn paper. Includes: two lists of 'Messrs. Methuen's Sixpenny Books', one of them dated to 1908; lists for 1912, 1915, 1924 (two), 1934 (two: novels and 'new books'), 1939 (two: one in red of novels, and the other in blue of non-fiction). Also advertisements for: 'The Illustrated Pocket Library of Plain and Coloured Books'; 'The Heather Moon' by C. N. and A. M. Williamson; 'The Call of the Blood' by Robert Hichens; 'The Novels of Arnold Bennett'; 'Three Masters of Mystery' (Herbert Adams, Charles Barry and Augustus Muir) and 'White Fang' by Jack London ('A Splendid Story'). The last item (with text beginning 'A NEW novel by the author of "The Call of the Wild" will be doubly welcome when it is known that Mr London has returned in his latest work to the scenes of his greatest success.') is 1p., 12mo, on a handbill with the reverse carrying a list of 'Messrs Methuen's New Novels' , dated to Spring 1907.
