Artist and author (1770-1831).Three pages, 8vo, bifoliate, tears, fold marks but text legible and complete. "My Dear Sir/ You will have a hundred copies of my book delivered to you in boards on Friday morning. I have ordered Mr Purdy [underlined][see BBTI, Edward Purdy, bookbinder] Tooks Court Chancery Lane to [excision] borad me [both words inserted] 300 copies; & after Friday you will be supplied [underlined from be] as fast as you may want them[.]/ On Monday morning that is tomorrow [inserted from "that"] I am going into Sussex to Ld Henry Howards for 9 days./ I have left Advertisements with 4 Papers to be inserted on Friday & then to follow at the [page 2] intervals of 2 or 3 days which will till I return[.]/ When you want Books please to send to Mr Purdy in Tooks Court for them[.]/ I am not aware that I shall be wanted in Town before the time when I propose to return but if anything unforeseen should make it necessary for you to write to me my address will be// Mr Duppa/ at Henry Howards/ Aldingbourne/ Petworth [page 3 [signature etc.]". No book published in 1823 listed in NSTC, but his "Miscellaneous Observations and Opinions on the Continent" was published in 1825 by Longmans.
