The letter begins: 'Dear Sir Arthur Cope, | The Bank of England are preparing new issues of Currency Notes for the Government of India, and we have asked them to arrange if possible that the representation of His Majesty's head which is to appear on these notes should be designed by an artist of the highest eminence.
