8vo booklet stapled into card wraps, with 40pp. of text, headed 'OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - R.107' (divided into: General Description; Working Instructions; Maintenance), followed by the ten fold-out plates, consisting of three circuit diagrams and seven plates of photographic illustrations on art paper. Beneath title on front wrap: 'NOTE | The information given in this document is not to be communicated, either directly or indirectly, to the Press or to any person not holding an official position in His Majesty's Service.' Pasted onto the inside front wrap is a label of a circuit diagram headed 'CIRCUIT CHANGE.'; above this is a large stamp: 'G3ANW.' Excessively scarce: no copy of this second printing on COPAC, and the only copy of the first printing, dated to 1941, at the Imperial War Museum. According to the IWM, 'Reception Set R 107 was a high grade general purpose receiver, initially for use with Wireless Sets Nos 12 and 33 in ground or vehicle stations. It was also used as a general purpose receiver and with high powered transmitters such as Wireless Set Nos 3, 53.etc. Reception Set 107 used AM R/T and CW and operated on the 1.2-17.5 MHz frequencies'.
