An introduction explains the purpose of the publication, whose contents include 'Library Notes and News', 'Author List of Books recently added to the Lending Library', 'List of Magazines available for Home-Reading', 'Topical List: Christmas Books', 'Kilburn Branch Library: Statistics', 'Donations of the Quarter', lists of magazines and periodicals to be seen at the Kilburn Branch Library an dthe Public Reading Room at Stanfield House, and 'List of Periodicals offered for Sale'. The ticket, with perforated edges, reads: 'Hampstead Public Libraries. | QUARTERLY GUIDE FOR READERS. | ONE PENNY. | It is particularly requested that a printed receipt be taken for each "Guide" purchased.'
