3pp., 12mo. Bifolium with mourning border. In fair condition, lightly aged, with closed tear at head of first leaf. He thanks him for 'transmitting two copies of your “Epitaphs [sic] from the Greek Anthology” - one for myself, the other for our College Library'. He observes, 'with much regret', that McGregor has experienced 'great sorrow', but is happy that he can 'write better & brighter words over the deed than those which you have so carefully transcribed from the of less enlightened days.' MacGregor's 'Translations from the Greek Anthology' was published in London without a date by Nissen and Parker.
