16pp., 12mo. Stitched. In fair condition, aged, worn and a little dusty. Elegantly printed. A descriptive list, preceded by a two-page introduction beginning: 'The Catalogue here submitted to the Public, of Record Works published under the authority of the Record Commissioners and of the Secretary of State, has been in some measure compiled from a Work printed for private circulation under the title "Notes of Materials for the History of Public Departments," by Mr. Thomas, the Secretary of the Public Record Office.' There follow 'brief observations [...] chiefly collected from the same source'. The introduction ends: 'In conclusion, the Public is apprised that the number of copies originally printed under the sanction of the Record Commissioners has been exhausted of such works in this Catalogue as are marked "out of print," and to which consequently no prices are affixed. The Publisher however takes the opportunity of respectfully intimating that he has good second-hand copies on sale of most of those so designated, which may be had at reasonable prices.' Scarce: no copy at the British Library or on COPAC, and the only two copies on OCLC WorldCat in Germany: at Thüringer Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Jena, and Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preussischer Kulturbesitz.Berlin State Library – Prussian Cultural Heritage
