In manuscript at head of p.1: 'Reference copy - prices no longer apply'. Loosely inserted is a typed page carrying a list of books, headed 'SPAIN. FICTION. Spanish Civil War and after.' Southworth's foreword (2pp., in small type) is titled 'Collecting Material on the Spanish Civil War by Herbert Rutledge Southworth (Author of "El Mito de la Cruzada de Franco," "Antifalange" & numerous articles on the Spanish Civil War)'. The first page carries a deleted 'Important Notice', including details of the firm's previous catalogues on the subject: 'This is our fourth, and largest catalogue on the subject. We were the first booksellers in the world to issue a catalogue solely devoted to the civil war in Spain. It appeared in 1959 and listed 419 items. [...]' Scarce: the only copy on COPAC at Liverpool University, dated to 1972.
