ALS, 3pp. in a generous hand, good condition. I am very glad to hear that you have asked Morant to lunch with you. I merely wish to tell you what probably you know already, that he is one of thebest Englishmen that ever set foot in Siam. He is thoroughly straight, and yet has tact & infinite patience. His position in Siam, gained entirely by his own merits, is very influential, and his influence is invariably exercised in the right direction. I am very glad indeed that you & he sh[ou]d meet.
