Carl August Nicholas Rosa [born Karl August Nikolaus Rosa] (1842-1889), German-born opera manager and musical impresario who founded the Carl Rosa Opera Company in England.

He is ‘much obliged for the note of the 4th.’, and as she wishes has sent instructions to ‘Davy’, to whom he asks her to ‘send all communications’. He is ‘very sorry indeed’ to ‘loose [sic]’ her as a tenant.
