On aged and worn paper, in damaged binding, with front hinge split and spine held together with tape. Bookplate label of M. A. E. Cotton on front pastedown. In dark-green cloth binding, with gilt design on front board incorporating the words of 'BRIDGETS BELIEFE' within a ruled border. Inscribed by the editor on the front free endpaper: 'Marianne | from her affectionate brother | P. M. Grey Egerton | August 7 1872'. Dedication to the editor's mother on first leaf, and four page introduction by him, dated 'May 3, 1870.' 'Pedigree of Grey de Wilton' on p.7; and 'Pedigree of Egerton' on p.8. Uncommon: no copy in the British Library, and the only copies on COPAC at Cambridge, Leeds, and the National Library of Scotland.
