vi + 110 + [1]pp., 8vo. Frontispiece. In grey printed wraps. Nicely printed. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn, with minor damp staining to corners. The firm's fifth catalogue, compiled by partners Evans and Gathorne-Hardy. According to Percy Muir's autobiography (Minding my own Business, 1956) it reinforced the initial impression of the trade that the firm was 'a rather elaborate and expensive joke, but while 'the number of buyers was not large nearly all the books were sold - all the important ones went - and it was not long before Evans himself was paying more for some of the books than his own original catalogue prices'. 'Uncommon: COPAC only lists copies at Edinburgh and Bristol Universities.
