2pp., 4to. On bifolium. Addressed by Orde on reverse of second leaf, with docketting and faint postmark. Good, on lightly-aged paper. Orde writes: 'I received yours of the 27- stating Messr Scot & Turners determination not to allow the sum claimed by me for drains - If Messrs Scot & Turner had found fault with the first charge made for drains during the three years Lease an explanation would have taken place and wd have prevented me expending a sum of £52 which they now object to pay - I am still of the same opinion respecting my rights but as they think otherwise I have no objection to leave the matter in dispute to say Messrs Thompson & Bell the Gentlemen who were formerly employed'.
