Full title: 'Memorandum for the Guidance of Officers commanding Units and of Officers in medical charge of effective Troops in areas or units, regarding the procedure to be followed in connection with admission to Hospitals, etc., and the care of Sick treated under unit arrangements.' 22pp., 12mo. Stapled pamphlet. In good condition, on lightly-aged paper. The 'Preamble' begins: 'These notes have been written as a general guide to Officers Commanding, and Officers in Medical Charge of Units to enable them to have readily available a summary of the medical organization which exists at Home for dealing with their sick, and also what their respective spheres of duties are. | Consequent on the large increase in the Army there are many who are not aware of this organization or of their duties in relation to it.' Divided into eleven sections, ending with 'Responsibilities of Commanding Officers towards their sick' and 'British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John Joint War Organization'. From a small archive of material belonging to Daphne Kayton of the Royal Army Medical Corps.
