Ownership inscription on half-title. Subtitle reads: '[...] Consisting of Notes on Antiquarian and Historical Subjects, Collections towards neglected Biography, Memorials of Old London, Choice Specimens of Ancient Poetry, chiefly from unpublished MSS., Scraps and Sketches, curious and interesting, with numerous Bibliographical Notices, etc., etc.' Initial publisher's 'Notice': 'The Publisher of the London Librarian having determined on adding something of a literary relief to his monthly lists of second-hand books, was kindly assisted by a friendly hand with the following collections. These having fulfilled their original purpose, he now again presents, in a new form; and on independent grounds ventures to solicit the favourable suffrages of the public.'
