See his entry in the Oxford DNB. 1p, 12mo. On the first leaf of bifolium. In good condition, lightly aged. Folded once. He begins by thanking him ‘most sincerely for your cheering note of congratulation’. Whilst it is ‘pleasant to be raised to the “Upper Shelf”’, he finds that ‘the position of Associate of the Royal Academy is one that is quite Ideal.
