On a 12mo bifolium of laid paper with 'DUNEDIN NOTE' watermark. Good, on lightly-aged paper. On the cover are a large black swastika and the words 'An Old-Time Greeting.' The poem, titled 'The Rune of the Swastika.' and signed in type 'J. S. M.', is on the recto of the second leaf. It is eight lines long, divided into two stanzas, the first of which reads: 'May the four winds, good friends afar and near, | From the four corners of the spacious earth, | All sweetly and all gently on you blow | Throughout the Seasons of the Circling Year.' The last line wishes the reader 'The joy of Conquest in the Coming Year.' The reverses of both leaves are blank. Scarce: no copy of any item named either 'An Old-Time Greeting' or 'The Rune of the Swastika' on either COPAC or WorldCat.
