2pp., 12mo. Bifolium, with mourning border. In envelope, with stamp and postmark, addressed by Yonge to 'J. J. Bacon [sic] Esq | 18 Griffin St. | Welton | Blackburn | Lancashire'. Good, on lightly-aged paper, in worn envelope. He informs him that his edition of Plutarch's 'Parallel Lives' was published by Chapman & Hall. 'I hear that they have lately published a new Edition: but old Mr Chapman the head of the firm is dead, [Edward Chapman (1804-1880)] & since that I have heard nothing of the firm which has now I believe been made into a limited Company.' He ends by saying that he does not know 'Mr Freeman's address' exactly.
