A Priced Catalogue of the whole stock of Theological Books, [...], of the late firm of Dickinson & Higham, together with the additions thereto made during the printing of the catalogue by the firm's junior partner and successor, Charles Higham.
Octavo, 216 pages. One of 'only fifty copies printed, on thick paper'. Title-page in red and black. Aged and a little stained, in recent half-leather rebinding. 9670 items listed, 'for the most part second-hand'. Preceded by 'ADVERTISEMENT' in which Higham 'trusts [...] that this modest disclaimer of any title, in respect of weight either authoritative or avoirdupois, for its being "mentioned in the same breath" with BRUNET or LOWNDES, with DARLING or ALLIBONE, may at least bespeak for his work that modicum of attention which the most learned of Bibliophiles may not unprofitably bestow upon a mere "Second-Hand Bookseller's Catalogue."' COPAC lists three copies: British Library, Cambridge and National Library of Scotland. Higham bought a share of Dickinson's business in 1870. His firm was acquired by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge in 1976.
