3 pp, in a bifolium. Leaf dimensions 33.5 x 21 cm. Clear and complete. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper. Each page divided into four columns of small type, each column headed 'LONDON REGISTER' and containing numbers under three heads: the first being 'No. of Land Order', and the other two, jointly under 'Order of Choice', being 'Town Lots' and 'Country Sections'. Beneath heading: 'NOTE. - The official Imprint of these Lists can be referred to in the Office of the Agent-General for verification of Numbers of Sections.' At foot of final page is 'The following Plans, &c., may be referred to at the Agent-General's Office, at No. 37, Great George Street, Westminster.' The six entries begin with 'Four Townships, on 1/2-inch Scale, viz: - Daly, Southport, Palmerston, Virginia.' and end with 'Surveyor-General's description of Soil of the different Hundreds into which the surveyed country is divided.' While various nineteenth-century Australian land records have been published in recent years, the originals remain scarce.
