4pp., 16mo. Bifolium. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn. The letter begins: 'I am proud to be honored by any communication from you whatever may be the subject. With respect to Mr. Draper, when I gave him a testimonial two years ago, I considered him entitled to every word of commendation that I used in his favor.' He admits that he had barely seen Draper over the previous two years, but he had learnt from others that he had 'merited their approbation'.
