I have given him the Knowledge some time ago - & I again remembered [sic] him of it yesterday - that I am unable any longer to pay for his Board & lodging - and that he must henceforth trust to his own exertions for a livelihood: & as he is no longer a Boy - but a Man of seven & twenty years of age, I imagine he will endeavor to do his best.'
