Dedication 'To the Friends and Admirers of William Roscoe, assembled to commemorate theh Centenary of his Birth, this Edition of the Memoir, by Dr. Traill, is respectfully dedicated.' Coloured engraving of 'Roscoe's Birthplace', on 8 x 13 cm card, laid down on page facing 'Notice' by the 'Publishers', which is dated from '19, Titherbarn Street, | Liverpool, 8th March, 1853, in which they 'testify their admiration of the man who shed so great a lustre on his native town, and, connected as their house was, (in however humble a degree,) with him, as printers of one of his greatest works'. Five copies on COPAC, but none in Liverpool.
