One page, cr. 8vo, fold marks, very good condition. He has written to enquire about the Press's Comus. This book was issued recently and a prospectus was sent to you before its publication. In case you have not received this I enclose another with this letter. I regret that we are unable to send out our books of sale and return as the editions are so small and the books so expensive and so delicate that it is impossible to allow them to go out in this way.

On piece of paper roughly 2 x 3.5 cm. Discoloured, and with traces of glue from previous mounting on reverse. Slight loss to one corner and tiny closed tear at head. Attractive calligraphic signature, with tall, closely-spaced, vertically elongated letters. Top loops of initial 'J' trimmed.
