A particular feature of the volume is that each of the more than eight hundred lots is neatly priced in manuscript, with many of the purchasers' names given. Ownership stamp of Newman & Newman Antiques, Beauchamp Place, London, on front free endpaper.

Catalogue: 8vo, 32 pp. Stapled. In remains of original plain red wraps. All illustrations clear and complete. In poor condition: on aged, worn paper, with several leaves and the wraps as separate leaves. Slight loss at head of first leaf. The covering letter (4to, 1 p, undated, on worn and aged paper) is a printed advertisement, on the firm's letterhead ('Established 1877'), with ten small illustrations of figurines in the margins. Scarce: no copy on COPAC.

Founder of Express Dairies (1860-1937), and antiquarian with a private museum in Sudbury. One page, quarto. Very good on slightly discoloured paper. He thanks him for sending Professor Petrie's letter. 'It is a subject which we have had before us for some time past, and are still keeping well in view as we are specially anxious to do something more on the lines the Professor pints [sic - and how appropriate!] out.' He has dropped Petrie a line. Signed 'G. Titus Barham'.
