A warm letter of good length, addressed to 'mon cher Camarade'. The handwriting is difficult. He speaks of 'la prolongation de votre Exil', 'ma philosophie Epicurienne', 'de Dames et de demoiselles de cette ville', and of health ('de tête, de dents, de l'Estomac, de gorge, coliques &c'). ENGRAVING: Oval portrait, captioned at foot 'Pigault le Brun'.
